NYC: The Plaza

Visiting the Plaza this weekend has me wanting to watch Home Alone .... as if I needed a reason.

NYC Window Displays: Saks 5th Avenue

A few fun and festive photos for your Friday ...

Most every window in the Saks displays have moving parts. Very magical.

The butterfly's wings flap revealing what looks like clockwork gears underneath.

The bubbling octopus spins and weaves about

The balloon sways up and down and all around

The elephant stomps up and down and bubbles float around in his exposed belly

Have a wonderful weekend!

NYC: Rockettes

This weekend we're headed to see the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall. I am so excited! Cross this off my dream list ... it is something I've always wanted to do. How glamorous are these photos! Oh how I appreciate a good red lipstick...

Between numbers, a quick mirror check.

Thousands of Swarovski crystals make up the stunning Shine costumes.

A quick clasp of the shoe before hitting the stage.

The final touch ... classic red lips.

Cary Grant [swoon] poses with the Rockettes at a movie premiere at Radio City Music Hall.

The Rockettes perform on the Great Stage, 1950's.

Rockettes get their costumes fitted at the Radio City Music Hall's Costume Shop, 1950's. The room serves the same function at the Music Hall today.

Christmas in New York: Photos

New York is so festive right now. It is impossible not to be amazed by the lighting displays, the store windows, the decor galore! Here are a few photos from my walk last night. What an amazing city.

Christmas in New York

As I walk the streets of New York, I feel gratitude
I wrap my scarf tightly around my neck
and listen quietly to the hum of the city
I see my cold breath in the air,
but I feel warm
I hear people laughing
and the Salvation Army bells ringing
Holiday is in full effect
Evergreens are for sale on the street corner
Twinkling lights cascade down each building
Wreaths have been hung with diligent precision
The temperature begins to drop
and the slightest bit of snow starts to fall
But Christmas encircles the city like a warm blanket,
weaving an intoxicating spell
I feel it's magic
I think of everyone I love
and I feel blessed

Lacey Lynch's Indiana

While I was home for Thanksgiving, Matt, Jordyn and I went to the farm for an afternoon of hiking, homemade stew, and guns. We had an absolute blast.

Thanks M + J for making this such a fun day.
