The Comfortable Home

I walked past a Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams moving van this morning. The side of it read:

"When a home is successfully furnished, just walking in the door is like getting a hug.”

After a month of moving and cleaning and organizing all of our stuff from our old place and another 3 full days of moving, cleaning, organizing, and furnishing our new apartment, my first thought was...well this is as good as it gets. If you don't feel our apartment is giving you a hug, then I am more than happy to give you one myself. Hugs all around!

The Apartment + Couch

Our couch arrived today, hooray! Now that we have a place to sit...I think its really coming together. I wish I could capture it better on my camera, but you'll just have to see it for yourself! Take a good look because this is probably where you'll be sleeping when you come visit. Its either that, a blow up mattress, or the bathtub.


The couch is pretty darn cozy. I bought the pillows before we left Indy thinking they would pick up the colors out our window. Love it when a good plan comes together!

I ordered some new lamps today for this table in our entryway. These are actually the ones that go in the living room, but I think lamps will be necessary here. You'll notice we need to fill the wine rack up with wine! To do list.

Heaven on 42nd and 11

It has been a wonderful and exhausting day. We think we've found our new place. I didn't even take a ton of photos because we were so excited. It was late in the afternoon and we had seen so many apartments by that point, our minds were spinning a bit. A lot to take in. This is not only beautiful and brand new but it is in a WONDERFUL location. More to come but a few photos attached. The view is spectacular...really breathtaking.
