Flea Market
When Mike and I decided on our apartment, we went meandering through the neighborhood to get a feel for the area. When we stumbled across the neighborhood flea market merely 3 blocks from our place, I was sold. Love me a flea market. This weekend I went to two markets. The first one I came across an awesome find ... a bunch of old watch faces that I thought would make a really cool collection. The guy told me $50 dollars for everything ... I said how about $35? He then proceeded to yell at me in Russian and throw the watches in my face. So I left. Apparently he didn't like my offer ... and decided to be dramatic about it. Anyway, I then proceeded to our neighborhood market which was much more friendly and enjoyable ... but I came away empty handed. I had fun regardless.
A few photos taken on my phone ...
These were cuff links which I thought were pretty cool.

Eataly NYC
I had read about Eataly before, so when I stumbled across it this weekend, I knew I had to stop in. If you like Italian ... this is the place to be. It is a HUGE marketplace ... food ... wine ... produce ... desserts ... coffee ... books ... cooks' tools ... everything. Not only can you do your grocery shopping here, but there are 6 restaurants in the space plus several little cafes to grab a sandwich, a glass of wine, a gelato or a latte and just sit and mingle. There is also a rooftop restaurant and brewery that will be open this spring, something we'll have to check out! It was a bustling place this weekend, but I was able to snap a few photos on my phone to share ...

Pretty for today
Monday it was 75. We had dinner outside, we enjoyed a bottle of wine, we lingered, we walked home and it was still warm. A little glimpse of what summer will look like in New York.
What a tease. The last few days ... cold ... rain ... fog.
I needed a pick me up and came home with these.
