Philadelphia: Macy's Flower Show
Can you stand to see more? I thought I'd stop by Macy's while we were in Philly, so if you liked the New York show pics ... brace yourself for Philly pics! The Philly show was incredible. I actually liked it better. A lot of the flowers were real and it smelled amazing!
This is the amazing organ at the Philadelphia Macy's. Its really quite something. I've heard the organ playing every time I've been there. Pretty unique.
Check out this video as Philly Macy's shoppers are surprised with a Random Act of Culture

New York: Macy's Flower Show
It may still be cold, but Spring was in bloom this weekend at Macy's. I caught a few pics on my phone to share. It was pretty spectacular.

Time Pieces II
Earlier in the week I mentioned my new favorite watch lady loaned me an amazing watch for the week ... and this is it!
The watch is by Delbana, a Swiss watch company founded in 1933. I think the watch may be from the 50s, but I don't really know much about it.
I think it is such a special piece. The face looks so glamorous and the mesh band looks so unique on this style of watch. I might have to make her an offer she can't refuse. Isn't this just beautiful?

Things Making Me Happy Right Now
Rose Ring - I have been wearing this for weeks now and I just love it. I get more comments on this ring. I think the fact that fits on two fingers ... I don't know it seems to perplex people.
Niesen Envelope Handbag - I feel this is a quintessential spring / summer purse. However the fact that its freezing ... I've hardly gotten to carry it. I like the pretty strap which can also be removed so the bag can be carried as a clutch. Possibilities, possibilities ... now if only the weather will get warm.
Nars Schiap Lipstick - YOWZA! This lippie is whoa-pink. If you want to make a statement with pink lipstick ... which I did ... all weekend ... then this is the way to go. This is so much fun for spring and summer and it makes me very happy (which is why its on the list).
Tocca Solid Perfume - I have become a huge proponent for solid perfume. These little pots are so awesome for throwing in your purse and dabbing on. As much as we travel, they are a necessity. One of my most favorite perfumes is Tocca Brigitte (which I wear all the time), however this Tocca Stella has been a fun way to mix it up.
New Sandals - Dear Shoes, You are beautiful and funky and I adore you. You make me really happy sitting in my closet. However, this relationship is going to the next level once the weather gets warm.

Time Pieces
I had several watches that needed repaired and batteries replaced ... and this shop in Greenwich Village is where they got fixed. Isn't this place crazy but awesome? My new friend, the watch lady, even let me borrow an amazing watch for the week. I can't wait to share! It is super cool, so stay tuned.
Here's to a great week!

City Posters
I absolutely love these city maps from Ork Posters. I especially love the one of Manhattan, which if you don't know the city, is actually a great frame of reference as to where all the neighborhoods are located in relation to each other. Great design AND educational ... win win.
Have a happy day.

Creativity
So I've decided I need a clever way to organize necklaces and some of my jewelry. I feel I've been accumulating some cool necklaces, but the way they're currently organized, flat in a drawer, is just not really optimal. These shallow wall cabinets may be a fun solution. I like the look of these above and below (found on Ebay). They seem one of a kind and very different than anything else we have. I like the idea of the cabinet hanging on the wall in an unexpected place like a stand alone piece of art, but concealing what's inside like a little treasure box. I particularly like the idea of a ornate key or knob or tassel to open it up making it extra special.
In order to hang necklaces, I may need to remove any shelves or dividers inside. My thought is to use whimsical hardware from Anthropologie as necklace hooks.
1. Glass Melon Knob
2. Tweet Knob
3. Button Knob
4. Notched Glass Knob
5. Zinnia Knob
6. Birdwatcher Knob
Above and below is another Ebay find. This cabinet would be more like a display rather than a hidden treasure box. What's your vote?
So, the plan is to keep on the lookout for just the right cabinet.
How do you organize your jewelry?
